THE BABYLON COVENANT

Our covenant
with the Father.
In the material world.

The Four Lights and Twelve Understandings

Every work begins with an idea. We pressure-test that idea through the framework so that what we bring into the material world remains faithful to the Father’s image.

Rooted in devotion to the Father and Yeshua.
Open to questions. Accountable to evidence.

ANCIENT SOURCE · A MODERN BABYLON PRACTICE

A CLEAR DISTINCTION

The ancient text names four Lights and twelve aeons. “Twelve Understandings” is Babylon’s modern teaching name. The practices below are our interpretation.

Read the source notes ↗

01 / THE FOUNDATION

Begin with an idea.
Test what it will become.

The covenant begins before we build. An idea must be examined for its truth, its care for people, and the consequences of giving it material form.

In Babylon’s devotional understanding, remaining in the Father’s image is a responsibility we accept throughout the work. We ask whether an idea is truthful, expresses love, respects another person’s freedom, and can answer for its effects. Evidence and challenge must be able to change the idea, stop it, or send it back for revision.

In the Apocryphon of John, the Savior reveals four Lights, each associated with three aeons. These belong to the text’s divine cosmology. Babylon draws on their names to organize a contemporary practice of inquiry and responsibility.

We preserve the passage, explain our interpretation, and make the practical application visible. Each learner keeps their own judgment and freedom of choice.

THE PRACTICE

Invite questions and remove avoidable barriers. Include people whose experience does not fit the current framework.

CARRY FORWARDAn accessible entry point and a way to challenge the claim.

02Truth

What is being claimed, and what would change our view?

THE PRACTICE

State the scope of the claim. Examine the evidence that supports it and the strongest available objections.

CARRY FORWARDA bounded claim with evidence, counterevidence, and uncertainty.

03Form

Can another person understand exactly what we mean?

THE PRACTICE

Define terms, name the unit of analysis, and separate the passage from its interpretation.

Ⅱ

Oriel

Frame a useful question, observe carefully, and preserve the record.

04Conception

What might explain the pattern?

THE PRACTICE

Record competing hypotheses and a test that could distinguish them. A possible explanation remains a hypothesis.

CARRY FORWARDA research question and competing explanations.

05Perception

What was actually observed?

THE PRACTICE

Distinguish a measurement, testimony, and inference. Record the date, method, and limits.

CARRY FORWARDDated observations with a documented method.

06Memory

Can the evidence and its history be recovered?

THE PRACTICE

Keep original materials, permitted copies, source identifiers, and revisions linked to the claim.

CARRY FORWARDA recoverable source record and version history.

Ⅲ

Daveithai

Explain relationships, consider those affected, and develop a testable response.

07Understanding

Which explanation fits, and what remains unresolved?

THE PRACTICE

Compare mechanisms and alternatives. Explain why a conclusion follows and where it exceeds the available evidence.

CARRY FORWARDA reasoned synthesis with limits of inference.

08Love

Who experiences the consequences?

THE PRACTICE

Include affected perspectives and assess possible harm before choosing an action.

10Perfection

Is the record complete enough for this decision?

THE PRACTICE

Check dependencies and unresolved gaps. Here, perfection means sufficient completeness for a stated purpose, with limits recorded.

All twelve Understandings apply from the first idea through its consequences. Their numbering follows the four source groups; it is not a schedule that delays Idea until step nine. Completing these questions does not create a truth score or certify divine approval.

04 / UNDERSTANDING INTO REPAIR

Follow a question.
Return with what changed.

An idea becomes a question we can examine. It is tested before action and reviewed against its actual consequences. What we learn can change what we build next.

05 / THE SEVEN PRINCIPLES

The framework
must be willing
to change.

The Four Lights organize our work. These seven principles govern how we conduct it.

Read Babylon’s Eleven Commandments ↗The seven principles preserve the prior framework. They complement the separately published Eleven Commandments.
  1. 01

Seek truth rather than defend beliefs.

State the claim. Seek counterevidence. Say what would change your mind.

  2. 02

    Never consider knowledge finished.

Preserve revisions and revisit what the evidence has not settled.

  3. 03

    Look for connections across reality.

Keep a meaningful analogy distinct from a demonstrated relationship.

  4. 04

    Make knowledge accessible.

Explain terms clearly and give people a practice they can use.

  5. 05

Take responsibility for the material world.

Name the affected conditions and the people able to act.

  6. 06

    Welcome what challenges the framework.

Give disagreement and counterexamples a place in the record.

  7. 07

    Turn understanding into repair.

Assign action, check outcomes, and reopen the work when it fails.

ANCIENT SOURCE

The Apocryphon of John

The lists above follow Frederik Wisse’s composite translation. Its labels are Armozel, Oriel, Daveithai, and Eleleth. Other translations use spellings including Harmozel and Oroiael.

The Lights and associated aeons are ancient source material. “Four Pillars,” “Twelve Understandings,” and the operational mappings on this page are modern Babylon terms or applications.

A DISTINCT ANCIENT WORK

The Treasury of Light

“Treasury of the Light” is explicit in Pistis Sophia, including chapters 1 and 50. It receives its own attribution here; it is not the title of the Apocryphon’s four-by-three passage.

Numerical resemblance alone does not establish an equivalence with twelve Heart chambers, zodiac signs, letters, or another text’s twelve powers.

What this page establishes and what remains to verify +

Babylon’s Learning Centre and Test Babylon pages support the distinctions among source, interpretation, observation, and repair. The public app directory lists Academy, Observatory, Research, and World Brain. This review did not establish their internal integrations or inspect private research records.

Engine roles and workflows are a proposed protocol. A directory link confirms a listed destination, not the full functionality described here. The soil example is hypothetical. No form on this page submits evidence or creates a public case.

Version 1.1 makes idea formation and pressure-testing explicit at the foundation of the covenant. Version 1.0 was the first hosted presentation. Corrections should identify the statement, a source or counterexample, and the proposed change. The existing Test Babylon workbench is a private self-assessment; its notes are not submitted to Babylon.
